What Is Link Exchange

Link Exchange is when one website owner offers to advertise another company’s website through a logo, text, or banner hyperlink in return for having the other company return the favor.  It is works similarly to Banner Ads.

Why Use Link Exchange

Link exchange is a way to generate web traffic and increase your web ranking with search engines quickly.  If you have a website that is not getting a lot of traffic, try using link exchange to increase traffic.

Note:  A one way link exchange is more valued by Google than a two way link exchange.

It is a very inexpensive way to promote your website and your business.

Implementing Link Exchange

Implementing link exchange is easy.  You can choose to use a script from one of the Link Exchange Directories or you can do it manually.

When you use a script you can loose control of your link exchange space on your website because the code will determine what runs in that space.

Doing it manually lets you have more control over the process and determine which links run in the space you designate.  Most link exchange service will let you identify the website in their database that you want to do an exchange with and allow you to contact the webmaster of that site and arrange for the exchange.

One method of establishing link exchange is to search for websites that in your subject area and use the contact information listed on their information page to contact them and establish a link exchange.

Another method is to use a link exchange service like the ones listed below to find and contact multiple sites simultaneously to exchange with.
