Small Business Advocates are organizations whose focus is to work with local and national governments to advocate for, and promote the interests of small businesses.   These organizations push for lower taxes and reduce regulations in order to ease the burden on Small Businesses.  They rely on the strength of numbers for leverage.  Membership in these organizations is the best way to advocate for your interest.

American Small Business League

The ASBL is a non-partisan organization designed to assist and advocate on behalf of Small Business in regards to Federal Small Business issues.  Help increase access to federal contracting opportunities for American small businesses and minority businesses.

America’s National Small Business Advocate

The NSBA is a national nonprofit membership organization.

Provides testimony on behalf of small businesses  before the Executive Branch, the Small Business Administration, Congress, and state regulatory and legislative bodies. Their primary mission is to advocate state and federal policies that are beneficial to small business, the state, and the nation—and promote the growth of free enterprise.

Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE)

COSE  advocate for the priorities of Northeast Ohio’s small businesses.  Provides cost-effective group purchasing programs, advocacy on legislative and regulatory issues, and networking and educational resources to help Northeast Ohio’s small businesses grow.

Missouri Merchants & Manufacturers Association [MMMA]

Represents small and medium sized businesses throughout the State of Missouri.  Specializes in representing business on taxation, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance and healthcare.

NFIB

The National Federation of Independent Business is the nation's leading small-business advocacy association, with offices in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals.

Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council [SBE] The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) is an influential voice and advocate for entrepreneurs and small business owners. SBE Council educates elected officials, policymakers, business leaders and the public about key policies that enable business start-up and growth. Get updates on legislation making their way through congress that affect small businesses.

SMC Business Council

Provides a forum for Pennsylvania businesses to come together and become more successful.

Small Business Majority This is a national organization that adovcates for small businesses to drive smart public policy and get entrepreneurs the resources they need to thrive.

Small Business of New England [SBANE]

A private not-for-profit association of approximately 700 member companies located throughout the six-state region. SBANE was established to provide a legislative voice for small business at the state and federal levels and to make practical information available to help business owners grow their companies.
