First Class Mail Cost Increased

The cost to mail a first class mail will cost you more.  On 26 January 2014 the United States Postal Service (USPS) increased the cost of sending first class mail from $0.46 to $0.49.  This is an increase of 3 cents.

That was not the only increase.  Letters that weigh additional ounces will see a 1-cent increase to 21 cents.

Letters to all international destinations that are 1 ounce in weight will now be $1.15.

Post cards will increase by 1-cent to 34 cents.

These increases represents increase cost to small businesses that utilize the USPS services.  This represents a $30.00 increase in postage if a business send out 1,000 pieces of first class mail.

Save on postage by engaging in Direct Mail marketing.
