Demonstration is another way to lure customers to buy a product/service.  Once they see how the product/service work they will be inclined to make the purchase.

You often see demonstrations at Tradeshows where the product/service is not sold.  However, demonstrations are most effective when done where the product is sold.

Demonstrations can be done at the physical retail site where a live person is showing how the product works. Some people prefer the personal touch.  This method can be expensive and time consuming.  If the retail space is not yours, but you’re trying to demo at a site that sells your product, you have to convince them to give you the space and timeslot to demo your product.  You have to invest time or hire someone to do it for you.

Another way to demo your product/service is to use video.  If you sell online at an eCommerce site video is a very cost effective method.  You can create a video and post to your site where visitors can come back at any time and view the video.

How you demo the product/service will depend on the product.  For example, to demonstrate food items you have to setup a system whereby people can actually taste the product.  To demonstrate how an oven work you have to actually have all the connections (gas & electricity) in place to make it work so that you can demo every aspect of it. You have to be prepared to address all the possible safety hazards.
